Alabama Head Coach Judy Green not happy right now, she stomped the foot a few times and now decides to call a timeout.

Alabama comes in with 1-6 record in the SEC, but the record doesn't show it to well right now. Only losing 12-9 right now to the 24 ranked Lady Vols.

Good crowd here for the game, a few sprinkles of Alabama crimson are here. Tied at 5-5 after a kill by Jeter. She has bigger muscles than most men.

God's Love for Us

welcome back welcome back weeeellccome back!! Hey everyone! Its blogtime (blogtime blogtime say this in a loud announcer voice)...ok good. So I wanted to talk a little bit about God's love for us in our lives. I know there are alot of bad things going on in our world with our country facing issues and politics is worse than ever. Well don't look to the ones above you, look to the Creator and all Powerful King above you. God is desperate for our love. He is begging you and me to give him all we have in our life. I found an amazing poem written by country singer Phil Vassar. I think it really shows the way God feels about his children turning their head against him and causing his heart to crumble. The reason that God desires that we know Him is because He wants us to love Him. Mark 12:30 saysAnd you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. The more we come to know God, the more we come to know love, because God is Love. The more realization and awareness we have of God's love for us the more we will love Him. 1 John 4:19 says We love Him because He first loved us. Keep this is mind as you follow your God. He loved you first and God is all love.

Guest Speaker's Perspective

Welcome to the 2nd blog by Jordan Ridenour. Today in journalism class 315, we had a guest speaker by the name of Chris Woodhull. Chris is a Knoxville City Councilman and founded Tribe One. Tribe One, founded by Woodhull and the late Danny Mayfield, is an inner-city Christian ministry that encourages young men and women to get out of gangs and destructive lifestyles and into productive lives. A little history on Woodhull. He went to three different high schools and graduated from Sewanee College with a degree in english. Woodhull moved to Mechanicsville 18 years ago. Woodhull decided to run for city council in 2003 and won over heavily favored Jean Teague. Woodhull grew up in a strong republican family, but now says, "When I moved to Mechanicsville, I tended to vote both republican and democrat, and even more democrat." One of Woodhull's complaints about politicians across the board is that, "They only talk about surface turbulation instead of what's underneath." One popular issue that Woodhull feels strongly about is the relocation of the homeless population in Knoxville. Knoxvill'e major goal is to end chronic homelessness in 10 years. The current proposal is to relocate them from 5th and Broadway to a house in the Lakeshore park. WOodhull is very involved in his Tribe One ministry. Woodhull preaches at Remedy Coffee House and while Tribe One is not necessarily a bible study, it is a good way to get youth back on track and provide inspirational messages about God that can relate to everyday life. To put my personal touch on this message would be to support local ministries whether it be a church or local group. It's good to support youth who are changing their life, especially in a religious aspect.
